Environmental Public Policy & Conflict Resolution
 Dissertation Fellowship

The Udall Foundation is accepting applications for the 2007 Environmental Public Policy & Conflict Resolution Dissertation Fellowship.

The Udall Foundation awards two one-year fellowships of up to $24,000 to doctoral candidates whose research concerns U.S. environmental public policy and/or environmental conflict resolution and who are entering their final year of writing the dissertation. Previous fellows’ fields of study include political science; economics; government; environmental science, policy and management; ecology; environmental justice; regional planning; geography; natural resource policy; and environmental analysis and design. Interdisciplinary projects are particularly welcome. Fellows must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals or permanent residents, and their dissertation research must pertain to U.S. environmental policy.

AAUW internship in Program and Leadership Development  

Undergraduate and Graduate Students welcome!  
AAUW National Office, Washington, DC  

This position will grant exposure to opportunities that:  

AAUW is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student to assist with program and leadership development, basic research, evaluation and assessment. The intern will assist our Associate Directors on a number of unique projects. This is a non-paid position, ideal for students able to volunteer, receive grants, financial aid or internship credit plus students needing to complete a practicum experience.  

Initiatives include: Enhancing our College and University Partnership Program, program and leadership development, planning and coordination for AAUW national meetings, conferences or conventions. Additional opportunities exist to serve on multidisciplinary committees and help implement the annual National Conference for College Women Student Leaders.  

Other varied tasks include: Composition of newsletters, such as an e-zine directed to college women students. Compilation and analysis of data from surveys. Research and assistance in development of new initiatives and grant proposals. Technical programmatic support to AAUW members and follow up with branches/states on program activities that promote education and equity for women and girls. Students should have an interest in:
